Suggestions to enhance healing

Healing is defined as the return to wholeness or equilibrium. We have compiled a list of suggestions to enhance your body's natural healing mechanism.

  • View your illness as an opportunity for personal growth and enlightenment
  • Listen to healing CD's and uplifting music
  • Provide time for prayer and spiritual healing
  • Explore creative outlets such as: art, writing, gardening, music
  • Limit toxins including sugar, tobacco, fats, alcohol
  • Include fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, anti-oxidant vitamins and minerals
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily
  • Practice meditation and or progressive relaxation
  • Surround yourself with nurturing/loving people
  • Remove yourself from unhealthy environments and people that drain your energy
  • Incorporate humor and laughter in your life, ie comedies, humorous books
  • Add exercise and interactions with nature into your daily activities
  • Explore the use of hydrotherapy
  • Aromatherapy, imagery and the use of herbs
  • Release all anger, resentment and fear and replace with forgiveness, peace and love.
