Suggestions to enhance healing
Healing is defined as the return to wholeness or equilibrium. We have compiled a list of suggestions to enhance your body's natural healing mechanism.
- View your illness as an opportunity for personal growth and enlightenment
- Listen to healing CD's and uplifting music
- Provide time for prayer and spiritual healing
- Explore creative outlets such as: art, writing, gardening, music
- Limit toxins including sugar, tobacco, fats, alcohol
- Include fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, anti-oxidant vitamins and minerals
- Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily
- Practice meditation and or progressive relaxation
- Surround yourself with nurturing/loving people
- Remove yourself from unhealthy environments and people that drain your energy
- Incorporate humor and laughter in your life, ie comedies, humorous books
- Add exercise and interactions with nature into your daily activities
- Explore the use of hydrotherapy
